Frequently Asked Questions

A: This is a completely free service provided by community volunteers. However, donations to WVCA are always appreciated!

A: WVCA will do their best to match all requests, but during severe storms, volunteers may be limited. High-priority requests (elderly, disabled, medical needs) are prioritized. You may also want to have a backup plan.
Q: Can I request the same volunteer again?
A: While you can mention a preference to WVCA administrators, volunteers are assigned based on availability and proximity.
Q: What if I'm not satisfied with the work?
A: Remember that volunteers are giving their time and effort for free. If you have concerns, contact a WVCA board member politely. For guaranteed professional results, consider hiring a commercial service.
Q: What's covered by the liability waiver?
A: The waiver protects WVCA and volunteers from liability for any property damage or incomplete work. You're accepting volunteer assistance "as-is."
